No Clan Wars EVER

Zipper feels that if they take all the clans out of the game there will be nobody left to play the modes in MAG. So they dropped the idea of clan wars all together. This bad news comes hard to me and DOA as a team. They will have clan deploy for the beta but that will just happen for a few weeks.

I am sure that Zipper will change it's mind about clan deploy as it will have a huge effect on the game play for randoms.

Bummer, this game doesn't have a chance if it can't get competitive.

I thought they were going to put clan deploy in the game but make it so that clans wouldn't be able to exclusively battle other clans, basically just a way to get more groups in game easier.

Whats the point of Clan Wars without the "Wars" part?

What Racing said. Clan Deploy will still be awesome though. Mind you MAG would've been SO much better with Clan Wars. Zipper is an idiot, the majority of MAG isn't in a clan and most ppl in Clan's play a lot of stuff other than clans.

128 clan vs 128 Randoms = Boring ass game. Sabo is boring if you get 2 squads in it FFS.

I agree Alex, they really dropped the ball on this one but it seems natural since Zip has catered to the randoms since the beginning with all the gun nerfs/buffs

The problem is this doesn't cater to anyone.

For the random's, they'll get games going up against 32 members from elite clans where they get destroyed.

For the Clan's they'll get games going against 32 randoms where they destroy them within the first minute of a game.

Now I love rolling over a Sabo match in record time, and I love holding them off for 20 mins, but when the game is over faster than it took to Q or the enemy is sniping from behind the redline within the first minute is just down right annoying.

Obviously your going to get games where you face off against a clan, but lets face it, with Q-syncing and group glitching, this happens already, and facing off against a clan is still few and far between.

The one bonus is that now we ain't going to be spending 5 mins organising the groups ready to Q.

I think Murder just expressed my opinion. Zipper sucks and probably always will, and Alex has a nice sig. yay.

They better bloody start pullin a finger out or they'll find the rest of the players on whatever COD brings out next (spec ops or some rubbish?)

Black ops = Yeah, let's remake the Cod series and make it the exact same mechanics with a cool campaign and shitty online.

I heard the goal of Spec Ops was to make the co-op as bad as the multiplayer so there would be no real reason to buy it, and then see how many still do buy it.

I do suspect that it should play out as predicted-128 DOA vs 128 randoms..

Now if only we could amass 128 DOA...seems like public groups will need to t be uncapped-then I feel the Raven alliance and other Raven divisions could ...mobilize the likes of which the Shadow War has never seen before.......


This is sad news...i would have hoped the playerbase was large enough to support Clan Wars....i hope in the future MAG can support it with ease....sooner than later...

For now though, while I 'll await the uncapping of normal groups, I look forward to seeing how well we can mobilize regiments of bunker Killers......

No clan wars is a downer for sure. On the other had if they do gives us clan deploy in the retail game after the beta is over it will makes things a whole lot easier. I will be dling the beta as soon as its available and trying to get in as soon as possbile.

I am curious how they will rollover the economy system into the game after the beta.

So from what I hear, the Beta universe is completely separate from the MAG universe. And there is going to be a limit on how many people can play the beta at any time. This doesn't bode well for large scale grouping up.

I guess we could get a big raven alliance so we can fill 128 players then get sver and valor to do the same then Q sync with the other PMC's for some clan war action /shrug

According to the podcast the group option is going to be pretty sweet though. People will be able to decide who's with who in the groups ect. Although you won't be able to group with other clans which sounds kinda crap but then they say you can still group sync with them.

Hey why dont they do it like like socom confrontation. Basically , u challenge a clan on a certain date and it is registered on a calender. This allows clans to have their wars and helps stabilize the game.

yup ^.^ and they could take it another step further and host tournaments were clans fight each other off, but i doubt that will happen -_-
