| Some of you who have been with us from the beginning will know all about this sort of stuff.
For those that don't know TeamSpeak3 is a VOIP program designed for gamers to group chat and talk. You can learn more here.
So to the point. I have set up a teamspeak server at home as a trial, if it works out, then I'll consider paying for a dedicated server.
To get on. Start by watching this video on how to download and set up the client.
Then log on using the following info:
Address: 86.180.107.252 Port: 9987 Nickname: YOUR PSN There isn't a password seeing as I have permissions to ban users ect.
Now this is entirely optional for you to download but I'd like to see how it works out. It's entirely free and I hope it will be a good asset in cross group communication. _________________

| You will need to ensure that once you are logged in that you join in the The Bunker Killers channel. Otherwise you won't be able to send chat messages. _________________

| alex,
This sounds pretty cool - to the point that I think its making me think about trying to move one of our computers into our family room near the television. To do that, I think I'll have to build a shelf and paint it to match the interior of the cabinet which holds our ps3 and home theater receiver, so it will take some time (not sure when I'll be able to get to this project) but I think I may have just enough space in the cabinet to hold one of our computers.
Anyway, if I had a computer in our family room then I could also participate in the Active Group Tracking and other things like that while playing MAG. Thanks for tryiing to implement these things for DOA. |

| No problem War. We used to use a similar system back in the early retail, although we would use it to Q up our groups rather than a chatroom.
What I do like about this is how much faster it is to organise yourselves, and it's easier to keep on top of what's happening.
Personally, I'd like for us to use this (or a similar) package to organise who's with who and get your groups set up, and then use the PSN solely for the Q-sync Countdown. Although I do realise that it is impractical for some who don't have PC's and Laptops near their PS3.
Last I heard Poachiche was considering setting a server up on a dedicated server at his home (currently its running on my home desktop) so we may have a dedicated server up and running soon. _________________ |
