| Oh no no no, I get that, but you have to visit the place first, which...sucks. Like I said, you have to visit it first, and lvl 4 or 5 going to rivet city for the first time sucked ass. | |

| Meh, i found i was overpowered to hell most of the time, the guns didn't change much, hoping they're fixed all that in this new one, going to smash it on the hardest difficulty on HARDCORE mode should be nice and challenging | |

| oh idk, Hardcore mode doesn't quite sound as bad for a slege hammer toting boi like me. Just means a visit or two the city once in a while.
Mind you F3 was horrible with guns, impossible to find ammo and ran through it frack quickly.

| Obiosly weren't looking hard enough, allways had 100's of rounds for the minigun, rifle, shotgun (sniper not so much) flamer etc, definatly had more than enough to go round! | |

| ehh, I didn't completely explore everything (did just about though, found everything on my map anyways and thoroughly explored that) so there probably is if you store it, shotgun, rifle, flamer and minigun were relatively easy to get some ammo for, but the sniper was bloody hell, though it was one of the best guns in the game imo. | |

| A friend of mine tells me that it's extremely difficult to kill someone using hand to hand, perhaps you should switch to hand to hand for the added challenge? | |

| It's only hard until you get more points into the perk.
Try killin a deathclaw with the varmint rifle at level 3. Now that was hard. I haven't even really followed the first quest at all. Some things I have bumped into but following the story line is not the way I go. I have a bad rep with the legion as I have killed every one I've seen so for. Those guys are just idiots talkin to me like that. Not sure why the powder gang likes me. I killed everything in their base and the 4 that surrounded it.
I'm the true meaning of a drifter in this game. I follow my pray until something pops up like a cave or a town. I like to leave the ones with stores standing. If I can't sell you anything or get hooked up on some red removal from a doc the town is toast. I pick every thing up. Even bent cans if I have room. Show me the caps!!
I can't wait for the mods to start showing up. The're so many of them for FO3. Got to love the PC version.
Word of advice: Don't give a side kick any grenades as they like to kill you with them. F'n Boone killed me twice today with them. I stored a ton of junk in his inventory. Put a bunch of explosives on him. First creature we come across he kills me as I'm swinging a machete at it. Thought I took them out afterward but, he got me again a few minutes later with some dynamite. Nice that I don't have to glich a second groupie to carry my stuff. hehehe
Now wheres that Dog at?

| Yeah i did get eaten by some wasp thing very early in the game but asiding that haven't really had any difficultys, annilated the lot of powdergangs @ the Correctional facility 'n' trying to keep the legion from eating my brain
Seems like i'm going to annilate the lot of townsfolk @ Novak, seeings as that pumps the Karma up abit.
Unarmed is pretty easy, got the spiked gloves or whatever they are do more damage than most of the capguns i own.
ALmost level 10 'n' nothings providing much of a challenge...sooooo faaaaaaar

| If you're looking for mean weaponry - go to Vault 34 - south east to NEW VEGAS and (Sidequest - for the NCR farmers where there is soemthing wrong with the water for the crops). Anyway the vault has only ghouls (quite difficult ones) in it, but the playthrough there is great for the guns like All-American - M4 and missilelauncher and marksman carabines etcetera. I also bought a 50 cal and checked if it was a good gun. instakill headshots (No VATS) to Deathclaws at Quarry Junction. Love the guns, love the story, hate the graphics on PS3. Don't know who said it before, for the graphics the PC is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better, I just like the controls on the PS3 (Bought the collectors edition with collecters edition strat guide). | |

| A friend of mine tells me that even with the graphics on the highest settings they look just slightly worse than they did for F3. He also tells me that the game could have been much better, and that a lot of the content is just poorly made or just recycled.
If your finding the game too simple try switching to melee weapons. Apparently it's near impossible to kill someone by punching them on hardcore.

| Hardcore mode doesn't effect how hard the mobs are to kill, just effects the way you heal, dehydrate, get hungry etc etc (simpacks don't heal limbs either) Which i've found makes no difference as i have to scoff down grub all the time due to...well...not caring so much if i get munched on.
I'd imagine throwing it on VERY HARD would make monsters a right plick to punch to death...but at the end of the day, why would you bother if you have a nice carbine to stick up their clacker!
I've found my match atm, bloody nightkins! For some reason VATS doesn't work at all (Comes up with 0% hit rate) so i'm in the process of gettin my head clubbed in quite freq
Cheers for the headsup bout the guns, i'm trying not to hit the interweb for tips but, i'm sure i could get all the snowglobes/books/weapons by hittin google

| No prob, if you have questions ask them here, I'll open the strat guide for you and take a look. I just use it at the moment when I have to make a choice in the storyline or just don't get how to get somewhere. Anyway I'm a lvl 18 sniper now (got Boone and EDE with me so spotter and recon perks give me a lot of long range 1 shot kills) and am now exploring stuff around new vegas, haven't been on the strip yet. Saving to get some implants in me | |

| @ JR2576 sleep much?? lol
I found a great weapon recompense of the fallen. It's dogtags wrapped around your knucles. Found it in the legion slaves camp on the river. Kills nightkin with ease.
Took on my first deathclaw mother. OMG 200 rounds and she is still killing me. Nothing seems to affect her. Plus she kills me in one swipe.

But I used the antimatter sniper rifle... with 50cal armor peircing bullets,,, U get good range sneak up and POW!!,, dont use VATS... aim yourself.. 2 shots to the head, and 1 in torso before she got to me and dead. That gun is so powerful... That was the only thing that required more then one shot. I killed the deathclaw alpha male with 2 mini nuke from the fatman...sooo epic. If u choose Archmedes II in helios... get the euclid C-finder... U can call in a aerial laser strike from Archemedes... BAD ASS... only problem is on gun u get 1 shot every 24hrs (game time)... EDIT: Just remebered another good gun... the grenade minigun... just like a regular minigun but shoots 40mm grenades...lol

| Hey Dead, Use the regular sniper rifle (vault 34 and at gun runners) and make sure u fix it up with repair kits and have enough ammo (armor piercing helps). I tried to go into a deathclaw den northwest of Novac yesterday and the only problem was the legendary deathclaw there. There are like 15 deathclaws inside and several outside. I got my gun skills at 80 and I even headshot instakill those claws without VATS. Anyway inside the den it is advisable to have companions who take the beating for you initially, a stealth boy and some other chems like med-x, buffout, cateye etcetera, to deal with the legendary Deathclaw there. As soon as you clear out that den you will find the grenade minigun JR2576 mentions above. So summarized - LVL18 - 80 at guns - regular sniper rifle with silencer (.308 bullets) and headshot those guys either with VATS or without, watch out in the den and save often there. Anyway long time for me to go to platinum and don't think I'll get there, but am around 25 % now with quite a few trophies coming rather quickly now. | |

| the hardest part ( I think ) for gettin platinum, was the 4 different endings. I saved at a certain part ( turning point ) and did two endings...reloaded from save and did other 2. Then I went and finished alot of side quests and collectibles. Now that im lvl 30, everytthing is kinda easy,,, Ill play it from time to time just to do some other misc. side quests. Also now that I know a few things after playin/beating it... I might actually do another playthrough. lol... game is that good... | |

| Yeah, I will need to do hardcore mode anyway to get plat on this one so another playthrough needed. In my current one, I think I have done 75% of the sidequests now, but only a few major missions, yesterday entered the strip for the first time lol, lvl 26 now, I am currently instakilling most enemies with Punches lol. I actually needed to open my strategy guide yesterday for the situation at the silver rush (sidequest for CAS) getting evidence against the van Graffs/Crimson. Did not know how to get the evidence there without causing problems. Anyway now working on getting all companions missions. Not sure when I'll be on MAG anytime soon, perhaps if we make a certain weekend day and time agreement we could get more people to play, I would join in anyway! |
