Grouping up is simple.
Let's say I turn on my PS3 and load up MAG. I'll join the DOA chat while the game loads. Then I know who's on MAG and they know I'm getting on too.
First thing I do is check who from my friend and clan list's are online. Take a look at what games they're in (which is shown underneath their level on the right side of your screen).
This is the important part.
If you see 3 people in a similar game, then they are likely in the SAME game and probably grouped up. Either message in the chat, or message a person in that game and ask "Time Left?". They will reply when they get a chance, or if your feeling impatient then message one of the others.
One of the easiest ways to get into a group is to ask for an invite in the chatroom. That way everyone know's your looking for an invite and you will be sent one as soon as possible and you will be kept informed of what's happening.
So let's assume they message back with "7". That refers to the nearest minutes what they have left in game.
Now that you are suitably informed, either; 1. join their game. 2. Play suppression and be ready to backout, or 3. Wait until they finish. Sometimes option 1 won't be available so choose one of the other 2.
If you are messaged with either "Backout?", "Group?" or "Group up?". It's a question! Asking you to either leave your game, or message back with a reason your not. Remember we're in a clan so we can play together. If you decided that your going to play a game or 2 with your other friends, then fair enough. Just message back saying that. And remember we aren't going to exclude people who aren't in our clan, you can bring your friend into the group too. Just ask and check there's space or even Q-sync with the clan group. If there are only a couple of mins left, say so, people can then decide to wait (and take a coffee/smoking break) or they'll start another game and expect you to join it. Power-leveling is not an excuse, neither is needing more leadership roles. Both are easier done with the clan (If you don't understand how then ask and I shall explain.).
Remember...
Join the chat. Ask the time left in games. Ask for an invite. Join games. Send out invites. Be prepared to backout of games if your by yourself and don't be afraid to say no, provided you give a good reason.
I'm sure all of you know this but this is for those that don't
Please feel free to add your comments, as I know this can use some polishing and editing.

| good call Alex, I just posted similar info on another thread. People need to learn to group up more efficiently. No one likes wrangling toddlers. | |

| Great write-up, alex. I observe most of those points . . . normally the first thing I do when I get online is check to see which clan members are on also and whether they're currently in a game or not. If they're not in a game, I normally send one of them a message asking "got a spot?" and usually I get an invite from someone fairly quickly. If they're in a game, I sometimes just try to join the same game because I know we'll then all finish at the same time and I can joing the group at that time. Once in a blue moon I play a game or two with friends that aren't in our clan. | |

| Always always always go into the DOA chat. This way we won't have to rely on messages to get you in so everyone knows what's going on with you and not just the guy you messages.
If your by yourself and in a game and someone asks if you want to backout, either backout, or reply! nothing pisses people off and gets them confused more than waiting for someone they don't know is going to group up with them.
group? is essentially the same thing as backout? treat them the same way and you'll do fine.

| Yeah, good point . . . maybe you can even connect to the chat while MAG is loading so you can see who's in the chat group while you're getting started up. I'll definitely start using the chat room more. | |

| Like Kaelan said, everyone, must join the chat room when you are in. When people aren't in the chat, that is what leads to confusion. It keeps happening that we are always disorganized. this should be a solution if everyone joins the chat. | |

The problem with the chat is it has a limit. When were averaging 18 people a night then not everyone can be in the chat. For this reason I tend not to bother with the chat room, unless I'm a group leader or were syncing. Quite often I won't even bother messaging. People know I'll play with the clan, so I'm always joining in the games, waiting or playing suppression. People know if I'm in suppression I'm willing to backout. On the off chance I'm in a game seemingly by myself, then I'm most likely grouped up with Shaka or ir420. I absolutely hate playing MAG alone. If I haven't anyone to group with I switch it off and do something else.

| If the limit is the only thing bad about it, we should create a second chat to cross over the first chat with. That way people can still co-ordinate if they're not in the main chat. Hope that made sense lol. | |

| Just get out if your in a group and not a leader or a counter. LOL easy
As for myself the first thing I do even before I load the game is.... JOIN the chat room. This way all can see me come online. hehehe that sounded dirty.
The next thing I do is after the game has loaded I check my mail. I get tons of it. I am a leader mind you. Then I ask in the chat "much longer?". I then try to join game. I go down the list until I can get in. If I can't get in I wait. Why do I wait you ask. Well I would rather wait a few minutes than join a game I will have to back out of. You no longer get to keep your scores if you quit a game.
