Suggestions

Just wanted to make sure there was a place people could suggest ideas for the foum.

I had a couple suggestions myself anyways:

A shoutbox/C-box (basically like a text chat for the whole forum, very easy to set up)

Some new skins or forum colors.

Contests! (advertizing/recruiting, posting, graphics whatever)

Awards. Like 'Member of the month', VideoOTM, ArtOTM, StaffOTM etc. All voted on by members anonymously in a poll. Just some stuff to help encourage ppl to post n stuff.

Any other ideas?

How about making you an Admin? Lol.

All good ideas I'll see what I can do. We have a shout box on the portal site but there's another one I could try. Will set up a forum category for suggestions.

Created a chat box at the top of the Index page. Is that more what you were looking for?

Created a new category for things to do with the Website specifically ie. Suggestions and Feedback, contests and awards.

Well right now I work as a Sensei at a martial arts program. I don't actually have to go very far since I live close to it, but yesterday I privately trained one of my students several hours past what I usually do. It's just cause I was so pooped that the minute I got home I ate and went to bed.

My girlfriend pointed out to me that there is a typo in one of the moving banners. """....We fear nothing as they will only see or tag as they all die by our hands.""" I think or should be OUR. maybe I'm just reading it wrong?

You should look at the rest of that banner lol, there's a bunch of them I think.

There's pisstins' of spelling mistakes althroughout the website, i just figured that everyone's illiterate

On the ranks it should be Grenade spammer and not gernade spammer. Just happened to notice that.

A question/answer forum/help place would be nice, for stuff the faq doesn't explain, so the suggestions don't get cluttered up and so it's clear as to where you can get help.

Here's another suggestion for the site. This is something we used to have in my old clan website.

Auto-Trunking forums. Meaning if a thread is inactive for more than say ... 1 month, the thread gets deleted by a sub-routine.

This i find would help alot with the clutter of thread long gone by for issues that have already been settled upon, or useless "HEY, I'M NEW, HOW YA DOIN!" threads.

Of course, for important threads, when stickied, the auto-trunking is disabled, and admins can always disable the feature for any thread as well.

This feature would help admins alot i think, as they wouldnt have to clean up the forums ever again.

Another suggestion, have a forum just for newcomers(Make the font for it a bit bigger to attract newcomers), like you have for the different games, with all the Need to know info(rules, standards, blah blah blah.) Reason being, i didnt know we had a "suggested" uniform color we use before learning it from someone in game over the mic. After having searched a bit deeper, i finally found the thread, but it's last reply was a while ago. Locking this forum to new posts might be a good idea to prevent newcomers from flooding it with useless posts. Read-Only bitches!

Dead and Alex keep this place looking tidy for sure. We have separate "areas" for Officers that need more deleting etc etc due to the constant in and outs of our clan. We put everyone through a temporary probation and decide together if we should keep the specific new recruit.

I don't think we need auto trunking, cause it can also be annoying for people who want things to stay when admins want them to go. Plus when having 'hey you know that one time when we did that one thing? Oh you don't know about it? It was great let me get the thread link' and then bam it's been deleted despite level of awesomeness. Just saying.

ADD:

I wouldn't mind a scrollbar for the sidebar if that's at all possible. That thing is very useful but also annoying when having to wait for the last topics to scroll down.

I have been keeping up with post deletions and splits so on and so forth. I don't like the idea of auto trimming as I have this option turned off. I will however go around and delete topics that I find to have no use anymore.
