A Whole New LittleBigPlanet Adventure
Join Sackboy in a completely new platforming adventure, spread across 50 levels.
Some time has passed since the events of the original game and its PSP sequel and Craftworld is in trouble. An evil device, force, thingy known as "The Negativitron" is threatening to suck up everyone and everything, including Sackboy, into the void. Only an intervention by a rebel organization known as "The Alliance" saves our hero. And with that Sackboy decides to lend his creative platforming powers to the cause. Along the way he'll discover new abilities, gadgets, gameplay rules and innovative tools to get the job done.
A Platform for Games LittleBigPlanet 2 is about more than a game storyline. It is about player creativity. Loaded with a powerful new set of tools that vastly widen the scope of possibilities in-game, LittleBigPlanet 2 moves far beyond familiar level editing and delivers the power to literally create whole games. It is in fact, a platform for games. Whether you are talking racing games, mini-games, action/adventure games and even multiplayer shooters, using the Direct Control feature you can create/recreate a mapping for objects and abilities from the Sixaxis controller for use directly in gameplay. You can also link levels to extend the fun and/or create a new gameplay experience. Bring your characters to life, compose your own music, direct cinematic masterpieces, wire controllers directly in to your contraptions, connect easy to use switches, microchips and circuit boards to build epic bosses, vehicles, machines, and puzzles. All the tools are at your fingertips. And with custom heads-up displays (HUDs) for scoring and game data exported to a game ending grid, allowing winners in created multiplayer games to celebrate while opponents look on in shame, the sky is truly the limit.
Play, Create and Discover LittleBigPlanet 2 is fully backwards compatible to the original game. With millions of creations existing in the LittleBigPlanet universe and millions more to come, finding the experience you're looking for is important. Because I played the first one, and I hated it. Because I believe the whole game is way to hyped up and is taking away gamers from games like Oblivion and Killzone. Games that need that hype. The vast majority of gamers are those that would rather play Modern Warfare than Mirrors Edge or The Sims. I'm all for getting new people into the industry, but it's coming to a point where companies have decided the only way to make money is to attract more customers which cater to one specific catergory, or the opposite, to try and cater to everyone. People say LBP has something for everything, frack no it doesn't. It's a family game for me, and always will be. Maybe if more people started playing Oblivion instead of LBP, there could be less delay between games thanks to money generated, or there could be a better job with the storyline etc. I mean, I look at my shelf of PS2 games, and I find better games then the PS3 has. Games that aren't a huge waste of money, that aren't overhyped. I'm not made of money, and when a game gets overhyped and I buy, hate it and it sits on my shelf, I get pissed. The same thing has happened with Demons Souls, Farcry 2, R6V 1 & 2, Gran Turismo, etc etc. Whereas I look at my PS2 and remember playing every game on that shelf a fair bit. Games have evolved and so has the industry, and i'm not sure I like it.
This is a huge rant, but bottom line is that i've never given LBP much of a chance and I probably never will.

Kaelan, why is it your problem that people like this game. You were saying that it takes gamers away from other games. We can play what we want. And kaelan, many hardcore gamers do play little big planet.

Yeah, that's all well and good. But all of us are in this clan primarily to MAG right? So therefore, the more people playing MAG, the better. LBP takes away from people playing MAG and other games, and therefore i'm against LBP because of that. I don't have a problem with people playing LBP. I just dislike that it takes people away from MAG, because for everyone who is busy playing LBP, that means less people playing MAG. Why does DOA only have let's say 7 people on nowadays? Because other games are taking away from MAG, just like LBP, Blackops, etc. If there were no other shooter games out there, how many people would play MAG? Lots more than there is now, and that's why I dislike LBP.
And sure hardcore gamers play LBP, but the majority of them don't. There's probably a whole community somewhere that plays LBP non-stop, but there are more 'communities' that play let's say, Blackops nonstop.
It's the same thing as saying Junior Hockey takes away some of the best athletes who could be going to play football and vice versa. If your a fan of Junior Hockey, you want more people to come over, but if your a fan of football, your rather pissed that Junior Hockey is taking away so many people.
I think I explained that pretty clearly

I for one liked LBP. Well not the game part. I just liked creating old school platform levels. Yes, LBP is a time sink. I have spent at least 60 hours per level. With 8 levels published thats alot a time away from mag.

I always liked Farcry 2, just for the map creator. Idk if LBP is anything like that, though.
