Lord of the Rings Online is now free to play. If you like MMO's or just want to check out what the talk is about download the free client at lotro.com. Create a Character on the Crickhollow server. If you choose a different server you will never be able to change. My characters names are Highness (Minstrel) and Valinia (Champion). Feel free to send me a message in game and i will get you started. I look foward to seeing some of you on here.

May download this eventually, but is it anything like the LOTR online for PS3, or more like WoW? Cause I relatively enjoyed both but idk.

It plays like Wow but with lord or the rings lore. Big expansive open world for you to explore. Give it a shot, there is nothing to lose.

I tried LotRO a while ago with a friend and neither of us were impressed.

I've been playing a game called allods though and it's pretty fun. It's a lot like WoW only free and in a setting that's more scifi.

I'm playing an MMO called Fiesta. Same deal as all of yours im sure, except more anime-ish. I know ... I know ... gay ... but i like the cartoonyness ok?

I've heard of Fiesta while looking at MMOs to try out, It's supposed to be pretty good (ranked in the top 5 on quite a few sites I looked at). I've been trying out MMOs with a friend who's pretty picky and couldn't stand a different MMO with less cartoony graphics so I never even considered it. We've settled on allods after playing D&D for a little while, it's very detailed for a free MMO.

Yeah ... i'm not a big guru when it comes to MMO's, so i dont know. All i know is it's pretty well done, and pretty fun. There's alot of ppl on it as well, and seems pretty complete.

If ever you and your friend try it, let me know, i'll shuffle you both up to a decent level.

Whats a good class for a guy who likes the front lines? Maybe with a bit of magic?

I downloaded the game and now just need to make a character.

So you want to do damage with a sword I would say champ, burglar
Magic and damage and weak defense is lore Master, or rune keeper
