You got whats called a Deathloop. It used to happen quite a bit, then zipper fixed it. Seems to be reoccurring since 1.07 was released, except it's a worse version as the original deathloop allowed you to kill yourself. It's still pretty rare.

Kinda shaky at best to see, but I think I got the gist of it. I think your best option there is to just get out of the game and rejoin.
