If you missed our post about v1.07 a few weeks back, then you should be happy to learn that our latest patch is crammed with sweet new additions that make the game even more fun than it was before, including…

  • A new “Happy Hour” Double XP bonus that’s applied to the first hour of any player’s gameplay session in a 24-hour period
  • Suppression will join Sabotage as a “Faction Neutral” gameplay mode, allowing any PMC to battle each other on any Suppression map!
  • Faster download and patching code that allows us to update MAG with more content and bigger file sizes in a speedier way
  • Updated versions of the Flores Basin (Raven) and Alyeska Terminus (Valor) Domination maps
  • New lighting effects for more attractive and realistic environments
  • Various fixes to address bugs or glitches to improve MAG’s overall performance

There’s plenty more in there too, so look for the full list of patch notes here on the MAG Blog tomorrow morning.
For your convenience, here is the morning’s MAG patch release schedule across a number of different time zones.

  • Pacific: 1am – 3am
  • Mountain: 2am – 4am

I want to look at our shiny new roofs!

The "magic bullet" is usually a problem with latency. You may be behind cover but there's that small difference on the other persons screen where you're still visible. Usually it's just a small amount and they likely catch your foot or something. I don't think a whole lot can be done about it.

I am using the shotty again. Having 8 rounds per clip is sweet! I only used it one match last night but its close range is crazy good. Long range even worse than before. lol. Rocking it with the silenced pistol/motion/jammer. o yea. COMMANDO!!!!!!! Don't be sad like F-90.. I'll be back. You know your my main bitch. I'm just looking to get freaky for a bit.

Alright so I got so frack tired of shit on Valor that I deleted my account and made a new one on Raven. I'm kind of sad that I lost all my medals and have to start over, but it's a heck of a lot better than wasting in fracking Valor for another month or two. That was seriously pissing me off.

So yeah, send me some invites when you guys get the chance. Happy to be finally back from that shithole and any dreams of making a clan have gone out the window.

That is exactly what happened to me and my 1st account. Valor pissed me off so much that i deleted the frack. *Sobs at all the ribbons and medals he lost*

Valor players spend all their time trying to glitch shit on every single map, and kicking their SL/PL/OIC's to get the player perks instead of playing the damn game.

Getting a win with Valor is worse then trying to yank teeth out with a toothpic. Specially if you're alone without a clan. I ended up doing it anyways though ... cuz i really wanted my trophy. But holy shit was it ever painful. NEVER AGAIN!

SVER wasnt all that bad though to be honest. Their players are pretty decent. I'd have to say SVER has the best players around after having been in all 3 PMC's. Team play in SVER is awesome. And well, the maps make it kinda easy to haul ass over to the other squads to help them out.

When I was on Sevr I didn't really mind it. But Sevr has the worse laggy bitches and pussies the world has ever known, mixed in with some good guys. And they don't have DOA, which makes it worth it for me to be on Raven, besides the fact that Raven has the best weapons out there.

Oh, and is anyone else experiencing a glitch when you bleedout, press bleedout, actually do, but when you go to respawn it stops you from spawning and acts like your still bleeding out?

I've noticed quite a bit of lag since this patch dropped, and not only against SVER. I can stand right behind someone and knife 2-3 times before I finally hit them, but I can be knifed from 20 feet away. And the F90 seems to take half a mag just to kill 1 guy.

I also want the extra ammo for my F90. MAG v 1.07 - Page 2 Icon_cry

Stole a few things from Mud's post on the MAG forums that people should be interested in.

What's the status on Clan Wars?: The are implementing the first part called Clan Deploy very soon. More info soon.

Will Clan Deploy work for all maps/mode?: Yep, any que except directives.

Will MAG group sized ever increase?: They're still talking about it, but if just a group of your clan...expect info next week.

Will there be any new maps with different looks
than the current maps?: Yeah, the 3 factioned gameplay maps are looking
like their own maps right now, more terrain as cover & not as much
structure. Next week they'll announce some big news.

I like a lot of what was done in the patch, but stat retention just adds a new element of hilarity to the game. Froze up in a Dom match while playing with some AOD guys, got back in game and all was good, until I killed someone for a +150 then rezzed someone for a +80.

Now if only it would give me all those points...

You get your points back when you get back into a DC game. Hints on the +150 for a single kill and +80 on a single rez.

I got DC for a Valor acq game right at the beginning. I got back in just in time for the win and I had 1 death even thou the only time I died was in the beginning of the match just before my DC.

Not sure if it ever did change, but i'm sure i get more xp for healing people these days, ended up healing (unless it was more than one person) near frago for over 16-20 exp, awsum yet confusing


Also noted alot more hacks these days, switches etc, firing entire clips at people 'n' completly missing (not that much of a crap shot), knifes turning into weapons of mass and far destruction.


Happy hour on the other hand = win, the last two days i've gotton 5 MVP due to having built 370xp + vet + 20% for sver + happyhour =1000+xp!

I got 1500 in one map! awsum when you're in the mid 20's levels!

I wouldn't know but I can tell you that the Raven LMG has more buck to it. Or at least I don't remember the thing climbing up to the sky after a couple of shots.

It's pretty easy to get a good healing score, most i've gotten is a 40 exp + frago. That's pretty fing rare though, and I think it's generally around 10-20 + frago if the guy has like 1 hp left.

Yes shotgun re-fire speed was increased with 1.07 to make them more effective at CQC. Shotguns are also balanced by re-fire speed vs. ammo capacity. Valors shotty, with 10 rounds, fires slowest, Raven's. with 8, fires fastest.

"Shotgun overhaul with reduced maximum, effective and headshot ranges; small increase in magazine size, shot spread, and shoot speed following reload (12 Gauge Pump, Boudini 12 Gauge, T-195)"

There's also a few things that weren't included in the full patch release notes, some come down to lag and others are true.


- Voice-Overs removed from ALL modes, not just those that went Neutral.



- Foregrip-related stability returned to firearms accidentally nerfed with the Machine Gun Foregrip nerf.



- Helicopter 'health' increase was left behind on accident. Expect it in the next patch.



- Return to a disconnected game with performance intact. (Score retention, etc.)



- Motion Sensor beep feedback removed.

(I find this irritating, I'd much rather have it spam feedback than be silent, I tend to forget about it now)



- Curious letter "A" on Character Selection screen. Smart money is on an upcoming "B" character slot.



- PS Store Icon in main menu to link to DLC purchases.



- Rotational and Pitch sensitivity may have been tweaked. Lot of people report experiencing this.



- Repair 'times' might be increased.



- SMGs may have had their damage reduced.

(I think this has to do with increased lag, which also seems to be affecting the knife)



- You can R1/L1 to another game results tab after a match instead of having to wait a moment while the MVP results marinate.



- Medical Kit 'range' appears to be significantly reduced.
