| I think SVER will quit when this game comes outmore than just hockey masks Brink
Platform: Games for Windows, Xbox 360 , PLAYSTATION 3 ESRB Rating: Rating Pending Hits the shelves on Sept/9/2010 Description:Brink is an immersive shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character across all modes of play. You decide the role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge for humanity. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more. Story: A man-made floating city called the Ark, made up of hundreds of separate floating islands, is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental self-sufficient and 100% “green” habitat, the reported rapid rise of the Earth’s oceans has forced the Ark to become a refuge for humanity. Crammed with the original Ark founders, their descendants, as well as tens of thousands of refugees, the Ark exists in total isolation from the rest of the world. With 25 years of social unrest, the inhabitants of the Ark have reached their breaking point. It’s up to you to decide the future of the Ark and the human race. Key Features:
- Blurring the Lines Between Offline and Online - Advance your character’s development across every gameplay mode: single player, co-op, and multiplayer. Gain experience points that you can spend on customizing and upgrading your skills and abilities, designing an entirely unique look and feel for your character.
- Groundbreaking Kinesthetics - Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you’re used to, without frustrating, artificial constraints and takes advantage of a new feature: the SMART button. When you press the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you’re trying to get to, and makes it happen. No need to perfectly time a jump or vault, the game knows what you want to do.
- Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, mission generation, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your status, your location, your squad-mates, and the status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You’ll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.
- Virtual Texturing – Brink’s proprietary technology, Virtual Texturing, breaks new ground on current-gen consoles and PCs with an even greater focus on highly detailed characters, realistic environments, lighting, effects, and atmospherics,. This competitive lead on the squad-combat genre helps thrust players into the gritty reality of the Ark's epic secluded arcology.

| Defenitely is looking like a pretty cool addition. I don't know if i'll buy it since from what i'm seeing the graphics aren't great but with any kind of good story line I could be convinced. | |

| This is a game we can all sink our teeth into and it gives you a chance to get to areas in a game where you can't in others. That is HUGE in my book going to make it a blast and camping hard to do since you will be able to own someones face if they do. LOL. Since when is graphics the reason to buy or not to buy it is all about the gameplay brother plain and simple. At least in my thoughts. Not meant to sound like a Dick by no means. If so I am sorry if I offended you. | |

| No no, I get what your saying perfectly. All im saying is that I tend to go for games with slightly better graphics because I hate playing with pixelated games even a little bit, and while gameplay and storyline are a real greata reason for me to pick up a game, graphics are just as important for me. Also being in school for me and living with a room mate means I have to sink my money into other stuff thats more important, so ultimately I want to make a good investment on a game and get a lot of hours on it. | |

| I think i read somewhere that this was already released no? Like beginning of September.
Looks cool though. I might pick this up, all depending how much it's going for.
I'm at work, so i cant see any vids(cuz my dumbass IT dept. blocks all streaming), but is this going to be a 1st player shooter, or 3rd player?
From the picks i saw, it's not quite clear. Looks like a merger between MirrorEdge(which i still want to buy, but never got around to) and Just Cause 2 at a glance.

| It's a FPS Pre-order Ships 2/1/2011 Notice the date change as I didn't site linkOh yeah, Get your ass back to working hehehe Looks to be a good game. I'm glad they postponed it. That means they aren't willing to release a crappy game and fix it with patch after patch. Although I'm sure they will find things to patch after release date as well. I remember the good ol' days where you had to deal with what you have as patches were only done on PC games and they were slim as well. Time spent patching a game is less time developing new and better games and modes. - kaelanstorm wrote:

Just be glad you didn't have to play on an atari 2600 or intelevision PONG was the SH!T back while I first started playing. Talk about pixels... I do like realistic games but I can live with a great game that looks not so good. Hell I still play doom every now again.
